Spoken:
You know how life works
You never find love when you're looking for it
Love finds you
In its own time, in its own way.
She was warm as a summer's breeze
I met her in a park by a stand of trees
There was something in the air that day
And I have to admit, I didn't know what to say
I went to her and I told her my name
From the way that she talked she wasn't new to the game
So we walked along
And I couldn't stop looking into her eyes
They were really different eyes
They really took me by surprise
Tarragon Eyes, Tarragon Eyes
I never knew what a look could do
(What a look, what a look could do)
What a look could do to me.
We went out for about a year
Just thinking of her can bring a laugh and a tear
Although I'm older now
I never understood, I couldn't figure out how
She captured my love and stole my heart
I think she raised it to some kind of high art
Sometimes late at night it seems
I'm staring at her eyes, in my dreams
They were really different eyes
They seemed to pull me right inside
Tarragon Eyes, Tarragon Eyes
I never knew what a look could do
(What a look, what a look could do)
What a look could do to me.
Tarragon is an interesting greenish color. And, this isn't exactly the pinnacle of my lyrical skills.
Recorded in the early 90s on a Tascam 8-track cassette recorder, with the O1/W.
This song was lost, and was recently recovered, although there is a beat missing near the end that kinda ruins it.
Remastered anyway just for completeness.
